Turkmenistan recorded double growth in air transportation

The “Turkmenhowayollary” Agency almost doubled the number of passenger and cargo transportation in January-November 2023 compared to the same period last year, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The increase was 99%, said Mammethan Chakyev, Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications, during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

In general, the growth rate for the execution of work and provision of services in the transport and communications complex of Turkmenistan for January-November 2023 amounted to 121,3%.

Along with air transportation, other sectors also showed positive dynamics: cargo transportation grew by 3,9%, passenger transportation - by 5,1%, railway services - by 6,5%, motor transport - by 17%, sea and river transport - by 5,2%.
