Turkmenistan received the last batch of medical equipment within the framework of a Project worth 2.8 million US dollars

The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan received high-quality equipment from Japan within the framework of a Project "Improving health system of Turkmenistan through provision of medical equipment".

The cost of the Project, which was launched jointly by the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan and UNOPS in March 2021, is estimated at 2.8 million US dollars.

The Ashgabat Emergency Medical Center received X-ray units, lung motors, modern ultrasound machines and systems for bronchoscopy. This was reported by the Press Service of the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan Chary Agamyradov, Ambassador of Japan Yamamoto Hiroyuki, UN Permanent Coordinator in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko and UNOPS Project Manager Vasily Tolkachev.

As Chary Agamyradov noted in his speech, this medical equipment had already been installed in more than 50 medical institutions throughout the country and is successfully used by the Turkmen doctors.
