Turkmenistan ready to expand co-op with ADB

Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, Feb. 23

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Director General of the Asian Development Bank's Central and West Asia Department Werner Liepach, the Turkmen Dovlet Habarlary (TDH) state news agency reported on Feb. 23.

President Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to the ADB leadership for the constructive approach to the partnership, appreciating the participation of such an authoritative structure as the Asian Development Bank in financing the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project.

Turkmenistan stands for expansion of fruitful cooperation with this international financial organization, with which the experience of successful joint work has already been accumulated.

Liepach stressed the prospect of strengthening business ties with Turkmenistan, which has a huge economic and resource potential and has proved itself in the world arena as a responsible and reliable partner.
