Turkmenistan ranks last at the 2017 welcoming countries rank

Passport Index portal has published the list of the most welcoming countries.

At the top of the rating are the following countries: the African country of the Comoros Islands, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea Bissau, Madagascar, Maldives, Mauretania, Micronesia, Mozambique, Samoa, Seychelles, Eastern Timor, Togo, Tuvalu and Uganda.

Turkmenistan, Syria, Northern Korea and Afghanistan were placed at the bottom of the ranking.

Passport Index rating is compiled based on how many passport holders a country can accept visa free and issue upon-arrival visas or electronic entry permits.

Let us recall that on 18 August Turkmenistan was ranked among the 5 hardest-to-get tourist visas countries according to the British magazine Wanderlust Travel.
