The non-government organization has published the annual ranking “Freedom in the World 2020” where Turkmenistan, Eritrea and South Sudan ranked as three worst of the worst countries with the score of 2 out of possible 100.
Only Tibet and Syria ranked worse.
Last year Turkmenistan also had an aggregate score of 2.
Traditionally Turkmenistan has ranked among 10 worst of the worst countries with the worst aggregate scores for political rights and civil liberties.
The Scandinavian countries, including Finland, Norway and Sweden are at the top of the rating with the maximum scores.
