The Ministry of Culture and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan on Thursday organized a video conference dedicated to the development of the country's tourism sector on the sidelines of the Expo 2020 Dubai.
The main goal of the forum is to establish and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and systemic dialogue in the field of tourism, popularize and promote the tourism potential of Turkmenistan, the official Turkmen media reports.
The online platform brought together representatives of government agencies and businesses, heads of leading tourism enterprises and experts specializing in this field, as well media.
The meeting participants were briefed the comprehensive information about tourist routes to unique historical, cultural and natural monuments located in Turkmenistan. The forum also considered issues of further development of the tourism industry of Turkmenistan, through which the Great Silk Road ran in ancient times.
Foreign participants who connected via video link shared their vision of the prospects for the development of cultural tourism in Turkmenistan. They mainly focused on the famous Ahal-Teke horses, faithful Alabays, musical instruments and amazing carpets.
Expo 2020 Dubai themed "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future" opened in October last year. The Turkmen national pavilion operates at the Expo 2020 under the theme “Turkmenistan Homeland of Peace and Trust”.
