According to Sputnik-Kazakhstan, the 5th summit of the Caspian states will be held on 12 August, 2018 in Aktau, Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov reports.
— Foreign ministries of all Caspian states, namely Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia and Turkmenistan are currently actively involved in preparations for the fifth summit, — the minister reported.
Within the framework of preparations for the summit the delegation of Turkmenistan’s Embassy paid a visit to Mangistau region.
— Upon the initiative of Turkmenistan’s Presidents draft documents pertaining to trade and economic relations and transportation cooperation with the Caspian states are being prepared to be reviewed, — Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan Toily Komekov said.
Let us recall that on 29 June 2018 President of Russia Vladimir Putin adopted the draft Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea proposed by the government.
