Turkmenistan prepares for International Year of Peace and Trust

A meeting of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan was held under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, TDH reports.

The agenda included issues related to the tasks arising from the decisions of the Halk Maslahaty meeting held in Ashgabat on the eve of the 33rd anniversary of the country's independence.

The meeting was attended by members of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty, the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, representatives of political parties and public associations, as well as heads of various state and public organizations and the media.

Particular attention was paid to preparations for holding events in 2025, which was declared the International Year of Peace and Trust.The President of Turkmenistan signed a corresponding Decree at the national forum.

The issues of development of science and education, healthcare and sports, education of youth, implementation of the Strategy for Development of Science in Turkmenistan for 2024-2052 and the Concept for Development of the City of Arkadag for 2024-2052 were also discussed.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the activities of the Halk Maslahaty are enriched with new content, the unity and cohesion of the people are strengthened, and the management and development of society are improved.
