Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan Annasahet Kakayev attended as an observer at the joint meeting of the Council of Heads of State and Public Television and Radio Organizations of the CIS countries and the Administrative Council of the Interstate Information Pool of the Commonwealth, which was held on August 4 in Minsk.
According to the website of the CIS Executive Committee, the participants discussed issues of cooperation in the field of television and radio broadcasting, traditionally reviewed media plans for coverage of events within the CIS, and also outlined prospects for expanding information cooperation.
Members of the Council paid special attention to the information support of the events of the current year 2023 and the work of the Interstate Information Pool of TV and radio organizations of the CIS countries, as well as the work carried out to establish the badge “Excellence in Television and Radio of the CIS Member States”.
Also, as an observer, the head of the international relations department of the National Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Juraev was present at the meeting.
The CIS Secretary General expressed hope that observers from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan would join the ranks of the Council in the near future.
On August 5, members of the Council took part in the opening ceremony of the II Games of the CIS countries.
