Turkmenistan Merges Several of Its Print Media

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on merging the editorial office of the Galkynyş newspaper and the Vozrozhdenie magazine with the editorial office of the Watan newspaper, Neytralnyi Turkmenistan newspaper reported on Monday with reference to the TDH news agency.

According to the signed document, the editorial office of the Watan newspaper was appointed the legal successor of the editorial offices of the Galkynyş newspaper and the Vozrozhdenie magazine.

The tasks of the abolished Vozrozhdenie magazine were assigned to the Diýar magazine. The Diýar magazine will now be published in Turkmen, English and Russian languages.

In addition, the editorial office of the Türkmen Dili newspaper will be merged with the editorial office of the Mugallymlar Gazeti newspaper, which has been designated as the legal successor of the editorial office of the Türkmen dili newspaper.
