Turkmenistan maintains its status as a country with low petrol prices

Turkmenistan retains its status as a country with cheap gasoline. According to the Global Petrol Prices portal, Turkmenistan took 7th place in the top ten countries in the world with the lowest prices for diesel fuel, Trend reports.

As of October 28, diesel in Turkmenistan costs 0,286 USD per liter.

Venezuela tops the list with a price of 0,004 USD per liter.

The top countries with the lowest diesel prices also include Iran, Libya, Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Ecuador.

The countries with the highest diesel prices include Singapore, Israel, Albania, Wallis and Futuna, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, the Central African Republic, Iceland, Monaco and Hong Kong.

Hong Kong, however, has the highest price at 3,185 USD per litre.

Such fluctuations in diesel prices are largely due to differences in national fuel tax structures and subsidy policies, the source notes.
