Turkmenistan Looks to Start Plastic Card Production

Turkmenistan intends to establish the production of plastic cards of different purposes. Charymyrat Purchekov, the Deputy Chairman of the Turkmen Government in charge of the construction, industrial and energy issues, presented a proposal on establishing their production to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the online cabinet meeting on Friday.

The Vice Premier also briefed on the plans to start the production of traffic lights and LED traffic signs, the official Turkmen media reports.

The relevant works are expected to be carried out within the implementation of the Concept of development of the digital economy in Turkmenistan in 2019-2025.

Having approved the submitted proposal, President Berdimuhamedov stated the importance of production in the country of traffic lights and LED traffic signs and instructed to further explore the possibility of producing these in demand products.

During the meeting, the Vice Premier also briefed on the implementation of the project to build solar and wind power plant in Serdar district of Balkan province. following the international tender of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the consulting company was chosen to monitor the implementation of this investment project.

The government meeting discussed priority issues of state affairs and adopted documents aimed at further development of the national economy.
