Turkmenistan issues collectors’ coins in honour of the car rally

In the run-up to the start of the 2018 Amul Khazar car rally, Turkmenistan’s Central Bank has issued commemorative gold and silver coins with a value of 100 manats each.

The state information agency TDH reports that the coins were made by Singapore-based Eng Leong Medallic Industries Pte Ltd.

It should be mentioned that Turkmenistan’s Central Bank issues collectors’ coins timed to coincide with various memorable dates: in honour of the first satellite launch, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Afghan section of TAPI pipeline, the opening ceremony of 2017 Asian Games, the 2012 Census and others.
