Turkmenistan is preparing to host the International “Silk Road” Rally

In Ashgabat, a meeting of the Turkmen delegation was held with representatives of the International “Silk Road” Rally project - development director Sergei Tumanov and his first deputy Viktor Sokolov, reports the “Turkmenavtoulaglary” Agency.

Together with the Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, Allaberdi Saparov, they discussed important organizational aspects of holding this large-scale rally raid on Turkmen soil.

The competition is scheduled for the period from September 9 to 15 this year. At the meeting in the conference hall of the State Committee, key issues were discussed in detail: route development, ensuring the safety of riders, medical support, organizing communications on the track and other aspects.

The upcoming rally marathon will undoubtedly attract many professional participants and spectators from all over the world. Turkmenistan already has successful experience in holding such events at the international level. In 2018, the country brilliantly organized the largest rally in Central Asia, “Amul-Khazar”, which brought together athletes from more than 20 countries.

The “Silk Road” Rally will be a striking event that will demonstrate the hospitality of the Turkmen people and the tourism potential of the country.
