Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova, during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, informed about the work to bring the national legislative framework in line with the realities of the time, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
In particular, working commissions are preparing bills regulating civil law relations, protection, study and popularization of the creative heritage of Magtymguly Fragi.
Changes are also being made to legislative acts aimed at modernizing sanitary activities, developing physical education, sports, seed production of agricultural crops and improving the work of scientific institutions.
During the reporting period, Mejlis deputies actively interacted with international organizations and parliaments of foreign countries. A representative of the Turkmen parliament took part in the International Conference of Parliamentarians in Oslo.
Turkmen deputies also participated in forums and meetings with UN units and other authoritative structures. People's representatives explain to the population the priorities of state policy, the significance of international initiatives and the reforms being carried out in the country through appearances in the media.
