Turkmenistan plans to hold a number of investment forums with the participation of British, German and French businesses. Chairman of the “Turkmenneft” state concern Guvanch Agajanov spoke about this at a press conference following the results of the OGT-2023 forum, a Turkmenportal correspondent reports.
Turkmen-German and Turkmen-British investment forums are expected to be held by the end of this year, Agajanov said. One of these events could take place as early as November.
In 2024, Turkmenistan plans to organize a visiting investment forum in Paris. Next summer, a scientific and environmental conference will also be organized in the “smart” city of Arkadag.
The traditional International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan” in Ashgabat is planned for October 2024, Agajanov said.
The planned events highlight Turkmenistan’s desire to strengthen international ties and expand cooperation with European business. This reflects the country's strategy to attract foreign investment and technology to develop key sectors of the economy, including the oil and gas industry.
The organization of a scientific and environmental conference in the city of Arkadag also emphasizes Turkmenistan’s fulfillment of its obligations on environmental issues and sustainable development.
