Turkmenistan is open to cooperation in the field of modernization of oil refining

The State Concern “Turkmenneft” is open to cooperation with foreign investors and companies in the field of oil refining and petrochemicals. This was stated by the chairman of the state concern Guvanch Agajanov, speaking in Paris at the International Forum on attracting foreign investment in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan (TEIF-2024), a Turkmenportal correspondent reports.

At present time, oil refineries of Turkmenistan produce unleaded motor gasoline, aviation and technical kerosene, jet and diesel fuel, fuel oil, lubricating oils, polypropylene, heating oil, light gas oil, petroleum electrode coke, liquefied gas, construction and road bitumen, etc. the basis of the country's export potential.

Turkmenistan aims to develop and modernize its oil refineries through the introduction of new technologies, improve the quality of products, their competitiveness and compliance with international standards, Agajanov said.

“The concern is ready to consider proposals from foreign companies to modernize the above-mentioned production facilities, aimed at improving the quality of produced petroleum products, producing a new range of products, improving and installing equipment for environmental protection”, - Agajanov said.
