On 25 December, 2020 the State Secretary, Deputy Healthcare Minister of the Russian Federation Aleksandra Dronova met with the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Minister of Healthcare Berdyniyaz Myatiev.
In the course of the meeting the participants discussed collaboration prospects with regard to combatting the novel coronavirus infection, the public affairs office of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation said.
Based on the results of negotiations Turkmenistan expressed interest in purchasing the Russian coronavirus vaccine “Sputnik V”.
Later the same day President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov ordered government officials to review the features of licorice root to treat coronavirus.
