Turkmenistan is establishing cooperation with an international charity organization

In Switzerland, a meeting was held between the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva, Vepa Hajiyev, and representatives of the international Christian charity organization “Latter day Saints”, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.

The parties discussed establishing cooperation to implement joint humanitarian projects aimed at helping vulnerable populations in different regions of the world.

Representatives of the organization highly appreciated the humanitarian activities carried out by Turkmenistan, noting, in particular, the Charitable Fund named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov created in 2021 to assist children in need of care. The importance of charity in modern realities is emphasized.

“Latter-day Saints” have a presence in nearly 190 countries and implemented 3692 humanitarian projects in 2022, totaling more than 1 billion USD. Following the meeting, their representatives were given information materials about the activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation.
