Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Kunio Mikuriya, Trend reports with reference to the local Altyn Asyr TV channel.

The parties exchanged views on enhancing the partnership.

“Our country is interested in studying the experience of the WCO to improve the implementation of control at borders,” the Turkmen president said.

The need to protect customs borders in the fight against drug trafficking and cross-border crime was noted.
