Turkmenistan intends to include 3 reserves into the UNESCO World Heritage List

Turkmenistan plans to nominate three reserves for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Jumamurat Saparmuradov stated about this, noting that this work is carried out within the framework of the "Man and the Biosphere" program.

The National Committee of Turkmenistan "Man and the Biosphere" (MAB) was established in December 2021. At present time, the study and protection of biodiversity continues in nine state nature reserves of the country, each of which works independently, but in a complex for the study of ecosystems.
