Turkmenistan intends to develop scientific and educational cooperation with NUST University

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov recently met with the rector of the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad, Javed Mahmoud Bukhari.

According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed cooperation in the field of science, education and research between Turkmenistan and NUST University.

The rector of the university was informed about the foreign and domestic policy of Turkmenistan and the socio-economic development of the country. Particular emphasis was placed on the city of Arkadag, which is being built on the basis of the “smart” city concept.

The parties agreed on the importance of establishing links between the universities of Turkmenistan and the NUST University for the further development of scientific and educational cooperation.

Established in 1991, NUST was the first university in Pakistan to be ISO 9000 certified. The ISO Quality Management System certified affiliated colleges include the College of Aeronautical Engineering, College of Military Engineering, College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, College of Naval Engineering Pakistan Navy and Military College of Communications.
