Turkmenistan increased the generation and export of electricity for 7 months of 2022

In January-July 2022, according to the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the growth rate of electricity production amounted to 112,8%, and its export 141,3%.

This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Charymyrat Purchekov, reports Trend with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the plan for the production of products and the work done by the Ministry of Energy as a whole has been fulfilled by 128,4%.

It was noted that Turkmenistan is actively integrating into the unified energy system of Central Asia and by 2025 will contribute to the construction of new power plants, power lines, modern transformer substations and distribution facilities.

Let us add that today Turkmen electricity is exported to Iran, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
