Turkmenistan Incentivizes Producers of Wheat, Cotton, Sugar Beet

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during cabinet meeting on Friday signed Resolution on economic incentives for producers of wheat, cotton and sugar beet in Turkmenistan, the country’s official media reports.

According to the document, starting from the harvest of 2022, the state will sell at state-regulated prices 50 percent of bran, cottonseed oil cake and beet pulp to agricultural producers, who delivered grain, cotton and sugar beet on the state order basis.

The document is aimed at increasing the interest of agricultural producers of the country to obtain rich harvests of grain, cotton and sugar beet, increasing the yield of these crops and improving the provision of fodder for livestock in farms.

Signing the Resolution, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said this will be another confirmation of the state's support for producers and instructed Annageldy Yazmyradov, the Deputy Chairman of the Government in charge of the agro-industrial complex, to monitor the proper implementation of the tasks arising from the document.

The cabinet meeting discussed priority issues of state affairs and considered drafts of a number of documents.
