“Türkmentelekom” specialists have developed software for creating a new modern national e-mail system and are currently testing it. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Bayramgeldi Ovezov at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held today.
He also said that in order to fulfill the tasks set for the introduction of the digital economy, specialists of the closed joint-stock company "Altyn Asyr" launched the first national online messaging system in our country-a messenger program and its mobile application.
Using the Internet, this mobile software allows you to instantly exchange text e-mail messages, participate in group conversations, talk using video communication, and send and receive various types of electronic files.
Names for the national email service and a new messaging app are currently being decided.
After hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that the Agency "Turkmenaragatnashyk" performs an important task to promote digitalization and ensure the functioning of smart networks.
The head of state demanded to speed up the pace of ongoing work on the introduction of a new national e-mail and messenger program, giving the Deputy Prime Minister a number of specific instructions in this direction.
The President of Turkmenistan also addressed relevant instructions to the hyakims of the capital and velayats on the modernization and diversification of industry infrastructure, the use of advanced equipment and innovations in the field of communications, the State news Agency reports.
