Turkmenistan has created a digital platform for reporting on SDGs

Turkmenistan has created a national platform for reporting on the indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) online.

The platform was created in the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan within the framework of the project "Platform for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, phase 2", implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) jointly with the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and with the support of the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan.

Data on the SDGs are open and available on the website of the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Statistics.

The basis of the platform is software for the collection, processing and dissemination of SDG data.

The National Platform is a set of indicators selected to measure progress in achieving each of the targets under the Sustainable Development Goals.

The creation of a national platform is aimed at developing a system for monitoring and evaluating data on the achievement of the SDGs in Turkmenistan and assisting in the preparation of national reporting on progress in achieving the SDGs.

It will also promote information transparency and provide access to a wide range of users to data on SDG targets and indicators.
