1.President Serdar Berdimuhamedov appointed Myratgeldi Balliyevich Seyitmammedov Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar.The decree on the opening of the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Doha was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in December 2022 “in order to further develop bilateral relations”.
Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on November 22, 1996.
2.The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) conducted practical training for representatives of the Turkmen television.Representatives of the Turkmen television visited the main department of “TRT” in Ankara, where they were trained.
Experienced employees of “TRT” told their colleagues from Turkmenistan about the new methods of filming, the stages of creating news and animation.The training lasted 5 days after which the Turkmen participants received certificates.
3.The first elections of members of the Gengesh were held in the village of Aba Annayev.In the elections for 5 seats in the local government, 10 candidates from the Democratic Party, the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Agrarian Party claimed.
Almost half of the candidates were women.According to the Central Commission for holding elections and referendums, by the time the polling station was closed, by 19:00, 92,37 percent of the electorate took part in the elections of members of the Gengesh of the village of Aba Annayev, Kyarizek etrap, Arkadag city.

4.Turkmenistan is preparing to introduce personal pensions for outstanding services to the country.Deputy Prime Minister for Economics Hojamyrat Geldimyradov spoke about the work done in this area.
He especially noted the drafts of two documents: “The procedure for assigning personal pensions for special services to Turkmenistan” and “On the composition of the commission for assigning personal pensions for special services to Turkmenistan”.
These documents are developed in accordance with the code on social protection of the population.
5.In the course of familiarization with the city of Arkadag, the delegation of the Republic of Korea, which is on an official visit to Turkmenistan, headed by the Speaker of the National Assembly Kim Jin Pyo, visited the Georogly State Equestrian Circus.
Here, the Korean guests became spectators of demonstration performances by the “Galkynysh” Group of National Equestrian Games.
6. Turkmenistan will take part in the X Foodex Saudi International Trade Exhibition, which will be held in Riyadh in September this year. Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Atdayev reported on the ongoing work in this direction at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.
