Turkmenistan, Georgia Discuss Expanding Trade and Investment Cooperation

Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Georgia, Dovlet Seyitmammedov, met with Guram Guramishvili, Georgia's Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, in Tbilisi, on October 4, 2024. The discussions focused on expanding bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia.

The two sides emphasized the role of the Turkmen-Georgian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in deepening their partnership. Key areas of focus included energy and transport, with discussions on potential joint projects in transport, logistics, and energy sectors.

Both parties highlighted the importance of transport and transit corridors in fostering economic ties, industrial cooperation, trade, and investment.

In conclusion, the representatives from Turkmenistan and Georgia reaffirmed their commitment to active collaboration for the mutual benefit of both countries.

On October 3, 2024, Ambassador Seyitmammedov also met with Eliso Bolkvadze, Chair of the Georgian Parliamentary Committee on Culture, to discuss strengthening cultural cooperation between the two nations.
