Turkmenistan, Georgia Discuss Cultural Cooperation in Tbilisi

Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Georgia, Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, met with the Chairperson of the Georgian Parliament’s Culture Committee, Eliso Bolkvadze, in Tbilisi on Thursday. During the meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening cultural cooperation between the two countries.

According to the Turkmen Embassy in Georgia, both representatives acknowledged the dynamic development of Turkmen-Georgian relations and emphasized the crucial role of inter-parliamentary cooperation as a key tool for maintaining constructive dialogue and strengthening international partnerships.

Special focus was given to the cultural and humanitarian sectors, which are central to the bilateral agenda. The discussions also highlighted the parliamentary delegations' visits between Turkmenistan and Georgia in April 2024.

Ambassador Seyitmammedov also provided details on the events organized to mark the 300th anniversary of Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Pyragy. Eliso Bolkvadze expressed her readiness for further cooperation, underscoring that such initiatives promote Turkmen culture and arts while deepening humanitarian ties between the peoples of both nations.

Earlier, the Turkmen diplomat had also discussed the dynamic growth of Turkmen-Georgian relations.
