Turkmenistan Extends Cooperation Contract With Tatneft For Eight Years

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Thursday signed a Resolution on the conclusion of an additional agreement on the provision of services to increase the flow rate of oil wells in the Goturdepe oil and gas field, the TDH news agency reports.

According to the document, Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concern is authorized to conclude, in the prescribed manner, an additional agreement to the contract with the Tatneft company of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) for the extension of the contract for 8 years.

During the government meeting, the Head of State noted that the main goal of the main directions of the energy policy of Turkmenistan is to effectively use the country's rich natural resources, strengthen the production, scientific and technical potential of the country's oil and gas complex in order to achieve sustainable development of this industry, increase the export capacity of the national economy, and ensure a high level of well-being of the citizens.

The branch office of Tatneft in Turkmenistan was registered in January 2011. The main field of activity of the branch is the overhaul of wells, the organization of a reservoir pressure maintenance system and the introduction of automation systems at oil production facilities.
