Over the five months of this year, Turkmenistan has seen stable GDP growth. Deputy Prime Minister H. Geldimyradov reported this on June 7 at a Government meeting, reporting on macroeconomic indicators.
Compared to the same period in 2023, the volume of production increased in JanuaryMay. Positive production indicators are noted in sectors of the economy.
Retail trade turnover increased by 11.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction that based on the results for January-May, the GDP growth rate reached 6.3 percent.Compared to the corresponding period of last year, the overall volume of production increased by 11.5 percent.
As noted, the execution of the revenue side of the State budget amounted to 102.2 percent, and the expenditure side 97.6 percent.
Stressing that wages, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships were financed in a timely manner, the head of Turkmenistan instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the necessary activities to maintain the continued stability of macroeconomic indicators of the national economy.
Previously, we reported that the GDP growth rate of Turkmenistan for January-April 2024 was 6.3%.
