Turkmenistan Establishes Interdepartmental Commission For Intellectual Properties’ Protection

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held online on Friday signed the Resolution on the establishment of an interdepartmental commission for the protection of intellectual property objects, and on approving its composition and its regulation.

During the government meeting, Vice-Premier Gadyrgeldi Mushshikov reported on the measures to improve the system of intellectual property protection on an innovative basis and the activities of relevant state organizations within the framework of the implementation of the relevant Program.

He then noted that in this regard, a draft resolution on the establishment of an interdepartmental commission has been prepared and that the Ministry of Finance and Economy, together with a number of state institutions, has also developed a regulation on its structure, defined its main tasks and responsibilities, and measures to prevent violations of the relevant legislation.

Following the report, the Turkmen President stressed the importance of carrying out comprehensive work aimed at protecting intellectual property objects and signed the Resolution.

During the meeting, Preesident Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also signed a Resolution on the preparation of draft State budget for 2022.
