Turkmenistan entered the top seven most active participants in Asiavision

Turkmenistan entered the top 10 most active participants in Asiavision. This became known following the results of the first day of the ABU Global News Forum 2023, which takes place on July 10-12 in the city of Kuching (Malaysia).

According to the International Information Center, Turkmenistan was ranked seventh in the prestigious rating, having sent about 300 materials over the previous 12 months.

Earlier it was reported that the Delegation of the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography is taking part in the work of the ABU Global News Forum 2023.

Following the results of the first day of the forum, chaired by ABU Secretary General Ahmed Nadeem, leading news agencies from more than 30 countries discussed the priorities of information policy for the coming year, the role of the media in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as increasing the exchange of experience and skills.

Asiavision (AVN) is the news exchange platform of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU). More than 15 000 news stories are published annually on the platform, adapted for all digital channels, including television, online resources and social networks.
