Turkmenistan discussed with the Caspian countries the creation of the Secretariat of the Tehran Convention

Turkmenistan took part in the first meeting of the Ad Hoc Expert Group to discuss issues of organizing the Secretariat of the Framework Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Caspian Sea (Tehran Convention), reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

The meeting was held with the participation of delegations from all Caspian countries - Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Russia.

The parties discussed the preparation of draft documents, institutional mechanisms of the Secretariat of the Tehran Convention, as well as conceptual issues of creating a Working Group on the shallowing of the Caspian Sea.
