As reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea, on November 4, the 17th “Central Asia - Republic of Korea” Cooperation Forum was held in Seoul under the chairmanship of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Cho Tae-yul.
Turkmenistan was represented at the forum by Ambassador B.Durdyev, who made a report on the prospects for the development of cooperation.
The forum discussed issues of developing cooperation in the areas of economics, transport and logistics, science and education, medicine, tourism, digitalization and high technology.
Four thematic sessions were held in a hybrid format on the topics of “Supply Chains”, “Environment”, “Digitalization” and “Tourism”. Following the forum, a Joint Declaration and the Work Programme of the Forum Secretariat for 2025 were adopted.
An important event was the meeting of the heads of delegations with the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Seok-Yeol, who emphasized the growing importance of cooperation in the “Central Asia Republic of Korea” format and expressed readiness to deepen political, diplomatic, economic and cultural ties with the countries of the region.
