Turkmenistan basketball teams are preparing for upcoming international tournaments

From February 14 to 28, the men's and women's basketball teams of Turkmenistan are holding training camps in Lithuania. Teams are preparing for upcoming international tournaments.

Turkmenistan national teams of different ages are attending training camps in the Lithuanian city of Palanga. The junior women's team under 18 is preparing for the world championship, which will be held in August in Hungary. The U23 men's and women's national teams are training ahead of the 2024 Nations League.

The junior women's team U18 includes Jennet Hajimammedova, Ranajan Yakubova, Maria Salmina and Medine Ernepesova. The girls intend to perform well at the world championship among juniors, which will be held from August 26 to 30 in Debrecen, Hungary.

The U23 men's and women's national teams are also at training camps in Lithuania. They are preparing for the 2024 Nations Youth League, which will be held from May 18 to August 15. The exact location and dates of the tournament will be announced later.

After the training camp, the men's team will go to the tournament in Amsterdam, which will be held from February 29 to March 10.The team consists of Merdan Hojamedov, Kerim Mammetmyradov, Evgeniy Nazipov, Dovlet Narmyradov, Shalar Hydyrov and Annaguly Hojagulyev.

The finalists will receive a ticket to the prestigious Masters in France, which will be held from May 31 to June 1 in Marseille.

The national teams' coaching staff includes experienced mentors - Timurhanov Timur, Bayryev Toyly and Tachmammedov Yslam. They are responsible for the physical and tactical preparation of the teams. In addition to the training process, Turkmen specialists actively exchange experiences with Lithuanian colleagues. This permits them to adopt advanced methods of training basketball players.

Thus, the Turkmenistan basketball teams are intensively preparing for the upcoming season in order to adequately represent the country on the international stage. Training camps in Lithuania are an important stage in preparing teams for important tournaments.
