Turkmenistan Appoints New Minister of Education

During an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on July 12th, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov appointed J. Gurbangeldiyev as the new Minister of Education, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.

Gurbangeldiyev previously served as the rector of the Institute of International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

G. Yusupova became the new rector of the Institute of International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, relieving her from her position as vice-rector for academic affairs at the same institution.

O. Ovezsahedov was appointed as the new head of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov dismissed P. Orazov from his position as rector of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction due to serious shortcomings in his work.

B. Mammedov, who previously worked as the vice-rector of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, became the new rector of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction.
