Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan To Increase Border Checkpoints Throughput Capacity

The capacity of customs checkpoints at Farap and Alat will be increased to 1,000 vehicles per day, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan reported.

Representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, as well as the head of Alat customs post discussed this update in the video conference on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospective cooperation, reconstruction and modernization of customs posts.

The Economic Department under the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan introduced new tariffs for filling in the Transit declaration in the customs information system "ASYSUDA World" and the relevant information in the software "Digital Customs Operation" from March 1, 2023.
