Turkmenistan and TURKSOY discussed issues of holding joint events

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mahrijemal Mamedova held a meeting with the Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Sultanbay Raev, during which the parties discussed the program of joint cultural events, the IIC reports.

In particular, special attention was paid to TURKSOY declaring 2024 “The Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World Magtymguly Fragi”, as well as assigning the status of the cultural capital of the Turkic world to the city of Anau in Turkmenistan.

Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultanbai Raev expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for organizing the meeting at a high level and the opportunity to discuss the program of joint cultural events.

Thus, as a result of the negotiations, the parties reached agreements to hold a number of joint cultural events in 2024, which promises to be eventful for the Turkic world.
