Turkmenistan and Tunisia held political consultations

Online consultations took place between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tunisia. The Turkmen side was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Gurbanov, the Tunisian side by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, Mounir bin Rajiba.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed strengthening bilateral relations and expanding the legal framework for cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the development of trade and economic interaction, investment, tourism and agriculture.

Participants in the consultations expressed their intention to intensify inter-parliamentary contacts through the creation of a Turkmen-Tunisian Friendship Group, as well as to strengthen cooperation in the educational and humanitarian spheres.

The diplomats also exchanged views on current international and regional issues.
