Turkmenistan and Türkiye plan joint educational projects

On October 17, 2024, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan received a Turkish delegation to discuss prospects for cooperation in the educational sphere. The meeting was headed by the Minister of Education Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev and the Rector of the Ankara University of Social Sciences Musa Kazim Arycan.

According to the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed a wide range of issues, including the organization of joint research, exchange programs and interdisciplinary educational programs. Particular attention was paid to the use of modern technologies in education and participation in international grant competitions.

The Turkmen side proposed six key areas of cooperation covering various aspects of the humanities. Professor Aryjan expressed readiness for close cooperation with Turkmen universities and support for cultural events planned for 2025.

The Minister of Education of Turkmenistan took the initiative to invite Turkish professors to give lectures at Turkmen universities and develop cooperation in the field of sociological parks.

The meeting ended with an agreement to create working groups for the further development and implementation of the proposed projects.
