Turkmenistan and Türkiye discussed deepening bilateral cooperation

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmed Gurbanov met with the Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmed Demirok to discuss the prospects for the development of Turkmen-Turkish relations, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

During the negotiations, the parties emphasized the importance of implementing the documents signed during the visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Türkiye in October 2023. Diplomats noted the great potential of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for cooperation in the energy sector in light of the agreements reached at the third Antalya Diplomatic Forum on March 1 with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

In addition, the participation of the Turkish side in events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi and the declaration of Anev as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 was discussed.
