Turkmenistan and the UAE discussed trade, economic and inter-parliamentary cooperation

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova held negotiations with the delegation of the United Arab Emirates led by Ali Rashid Al-Nuaimi, a member of the Federal National Council of the UAE, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Hidayat” International Center for Combating Violent Extremism, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

During the negotiations, priority areas of cooperation between the two countries were discussed, as well as prospects for further partnership within the framework of multilateral diplomacy. An exchange of views was held on current regional and international issues.

The Turkmen side noted the dynamic development of relations between the countries, which is facilitated by effective political dialogue at the highest level.

The interlocutors emphasized the importance of intensifying interparliamentary cooperation, including within the framework of the established interparliamentary friendship group.

The development of trade and economic ties and the potential for expanding cooperation in energy, transport, logistics, and ecology were also noted. Support was expressed for holding the 28th meeting of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28) in Dubai.
