Turkmenistan and the European Union advocated the development of mutually beneficial partnership

During the visit to Brussels, the delegation of Turkmenistan led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a number of meetings with high-ranking representatives of the European Union. The parties expressed interest in developing mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

At negotiations with the Chief Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of the European Council, Simon Mordue, the importance of bilateral cooperation mechanisms and the EU-Central Asia format was emphasized. Particular attention is paid to the prospects for partnerships in green energy, transport and technological connectivity.

Turkmenistan and the EU also discussed issues on the international and regional agenda. At the same time, the positive role of Ashgabat in maintaining security and stability in the Central Asian region was noted.
