Turkmenistan and Switzerland sign agreements on visa waiver for diplomats and readmission

Today in Ashgabat, an Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Federal Council of Switzerland on the mutual abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports, as well as an Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Federal Council of Switzerland on the readmission of persons residing without permission were signed.

The agreements were signed following a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Turkmenistan (with residence in Baku) Thomas Stähli, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the celebrations in honor of the International Day of Neutrality.

During the talks, the parties considered promising areas of cooperation between the two countries in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
