Turkmenistan and Russia are developing cooperation in the field of geodesy and cartography

Representatives of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography and the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of Russia visited Turkmenistan in order to establish scientific and practical partnership in the field of geodesy, cartography and land cadastre, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper writes.

During the visit, Russian specialists held consultative meetings at the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan with the participation of representatives of the relevant departments of the institution. Issues of cooperation in the field of training and retraining of personnel, holding joint scientific and practical events were discussed.

In addition, guests from Russia held meetings with representatives of the two largest agricultural universities in Turkmenistan - the Turkmen Agricultural University and the Turkmen Agricultural Institute.At the meetings, prospects for the development of geodesy, cartography and land cadastre in Turkmenistan were discussed, as well as the possibility of reflecting the country’s needs in these areas in university curricula.

Thus, during the visit of the Russian delegation, the vector was set to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia in the field of geodesy, cartography and land resource accounting.
