Turkmenistan and Malaysia discussed prospects for expanding partnership

A working meeting was held in Ashgabat between the Deputy Head of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan Ahmed Gurbanov and the Ambassador of Malaysia to Turkmenistan Mohd Suhaimi Bin Ahmad Tajuddin, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

The diplomats discussed key aspects of the bilateral partnership and exchanged views on promising areas for the development of Turkmen-Malaysian relations. Particular attention was paid to the need to strengthen inter-parliamentary relations through the exchange of delegations.

In terms of developing trade and economic cooperation, the parties identified the fuel and energy complex and the field of advanced technologies as priority sectors. In addition, diplomats emphasized the importance of cultural and humanitarian contacts, expanding interaction in the fields of education, science and culture.

During the constructive dialogue, promising areas for further fruitful partnership between Turkmenistan and Malaysia on a systematic and long-term basis were considered.
