Turkmenistan and Liechtenstein Establish Diplomatic Relations

Turkmenistan and the Principality of Liechtenstein have officially established diplomatic relations by signing a Joint Communique in New York. The historic ceremony took place at Turkmenistan's Permanent Mission to the United Nations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan announced on Monday.

The document was signed by the Permanent Representatives of both countries to the UN—Aksoltan Atayeva of Turkmenistan and Christian Wenaweser of Liechtenstein.

During the meeting, the diplomats discussed opportunities for cooperation in the political, economic, and humanitarian fields.

The two sides also explored prospects for joint work within the framework of the United Nations, focusing on issues such as peacebuilding, preventive diplomacy, and the development of international sports relations.
