Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan discussed the construction of monuments to outstanding cultural figures

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov met with the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balaeva, with whom he discussed issues of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere and the prospects for bilateral interaction, reports the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission.

In particular, the diplomats touched upon the implementation of previously reached agreements on the establishment of a monument to the outstanding Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi in Astana and a monument to the Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayev in Ashgabat.

It was noted that the monument to Abai Kunanbayev is planned to be erected on the territory of the Magtymguly Fragi cultural and park complex under construction in the Turkmen capital.

In addition, Turkmenistan invited Kazakhstan to take an active part in the International Conference of Ministers of Culture in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker in Ashgabat.

At the end of the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat presented the Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan with a book by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Arkadag - the city of the future”.
