On April 27, as part of a visit to Japan, the rector of the IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiev, discussed the issues of strengthening academic cooperation and scientific ties with the head of the Central, East Asia and the Caucasus of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Hirosawa Masayuki and the head of the Department of Humanitarian Development and Higher Education Daisuke Ueda, head of higher education for this agency.
During the meeting, the parties considered a number of issues on the development of bilateral Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in the field of education, the press service of the Institute of International Relations notes.
The Japanese side was invited to consider the issues of assistance in equipping the IMO training studio of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the creation of an innovation cluster with the participation of the JICA agency.
Particular attention was paid to student exchange issues. As Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiev noted, in different years, students and teachers of the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan visited the Land of the Rising Sun on study visits organized by JICA and successfully implemented the experience gained in the educational work of the Turkmen university.
